Founded with the noble vision of bringing the light of knowledge “Naba Jyoti” to all the social communities of the greater Kalgachia area in Barpeta district, Assam.
Over the decades, Nabajyoti College has evolved into a beacon of hope and excellence, serving generations of students from rural and underserved backgrounds. Affiliated with Gauhati University and Bhattadev University and accredited by NAAC, we offer a rich range of undergraduate programs in Arts and Science, with honours and majors in diverse disciplines such as Assamese, Arabic, Economics, Education, Physics, Botany, and more. Our sprawling campus, dedicated faculty, well-equipped library, and vibrant co-curricular activities including NSS, sports, and leadership programs foster not just academic prowess but holistic development, nurturing responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to society.
