Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina 2.0 Form Distribution Programme

Kalgachia, 6th Aug: A special programme was organised at Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia on 6th August, 2025, to mark the distribution of forms under the Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina 2.0 Scheme. The event was held in the college premises and was presided over by the Principal, Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed.

The programme commenced with the live telecast of the official launch of NijutMoina 2.0, broadcast directly from BKB Auditorium, Gauhati University. The live session was a significant part of the event, showcasing the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s address and the state-wide rollout of the scheme aimed at empowering girls through financial support for education. The NijutMoina initiative is a flagship scheme of the Government of Assam, designed to extend financial aid to girl students in higher secondary, undergraduate levels and postgraduate levels, thereby encouraging higher education and reducing dropout rates.

Following the telecast, the formal function at the college began. The meeting was chaired by the Principal, Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed, who delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of the NijutMoina scheme in promoting girl child education in Assam.

The programme was graced by three esteemed chief guests:

  1. Dr. Hafiz Rofiqul Islam, Hon’ble MLA of Jania LAC
  1. Md. Faruk Khan, Renowned Social Worker
  1. Mr. Jayanta Bora, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Barpeta

Each of the guests delivered valuable speeches, touching upon various aspects of educational empowerment, the significance of government welfare schemes, and the role of society in supporting girls’ education. They also elaborated on the key features, benefits, and future prospects of the NijutMoina Scheme, urging students to make the most of such initiatives.

The highlight of the programme was the distribution of NijutMoina forms to the eligible students from HS 1st Year, HS 2nd Year, Degree 1st Semester, and Degree 3rd Semester. The distribution process was smoothly conducted and witnessed active participation from students and faculty members.

The entire event was efficiently anchored by Dr.FakhrulAlom, Head of the Department of Political Science, and Dr. Neetu Saharia, Assistant Professor, Department of Assamese.

Towards the end of the programme, the vote of thanks was delivered by Merina Ahmed, the Librarian of Nabajyoti College. She expressed gratitude to all the guests, organisers, staff, and students for their cooperation and participation in making the event successful.

 

The programme concluded on a patriotic note with the rendition of the National Anthem.
