Kalgachia: On 24th November 2024, Nabajyoti College successfully organised a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting, with a focus on the upcoming visit of the NAAC peer team for the college’s third cycle of accreditation. The meeting was held in the presence of the Principal, Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed, faculty members, and a significant number of parents.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by the Principal, who emphasized the critical role of parental involvement in the institution’s developmental initiatives. Dr. Neetu Saharia, Assistant Professor in the Department of Assamese, served as the anchor for the event, ensuring the program ran smoothly.
The session was presided over by Khandakar K. Ali, and Abdul Motin, Notary Magistrate, also graced the occasion. M. Muzamil Hoque, a key member of the meeting, highlighted the importance of regular parent-teacher interaction in fostering a collaborative environment for students’ holistic growth. He urged parents to actively extend their cooperation during the NAAC peer team visit, a pivotal event for the institution’s future.
A notable highlight of the day was the inauguration of the college’s half-yearly online journal, Infopedia, which aims to showcase the academic and literary contributions of students and faculty. Additionally, the information bulletin of the Central Library was also inaugurated, marking another significant step in enhancing the institution’s academic resources.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Abdul Halim, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, who expressed gratitude to all attendees for their participation and support.
The gathering successfully achieved its objective of fostering a strong connection between parents and the college community. Parents were encouraged to support the college in its endeavors, particularly in ensuring a smooth and successful NAAC evaluation process.
