Kalgachia: The NijutMoina 2.0 Cheque Distribution Ceremony was organised at Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia, as part of the state-wide programme centrally held at Arjuna Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex, Sarusajai, Guwahati. The central event was graced by the Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma, and the Honourable Education Minister, Dr.Ranoj Pegu.

The programme at Nabajyoti College commenced with a live telecast of the central event from Guwahati, where both the Chief Minister and the Education Minister delivered their inspiring and valuable speeches, highlighting the objectives and importance of the NijutMoina scheme in empowering female students across the state.
At the college venue, the ceremony was honoured by the presence of Dr. Hafiz Rofikul Islam, Honourable MLA of Jania Constituency, as the Chief Guest. The purpose of the programme was explained by Mr. Nirmal Jyoti Sarma, Circle Officer, Barnagar Revenue Circle, who was also present on the occasion. The event began with a welcome address by the Principal of Nabajyoti College, Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed, who extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries, guests, and students.
The programme also witnessed the presence of Mr. Faruk Ahmed Khan, a noted social worker, as the Special Guest. He delivered a motivational speech, emphasizing the significance of education and women’s empowerment. This was followed by a speech by the Chief Guest, Dr. Hafiz Rofikul Islam, who encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunities provided by the government.
Subsequently, the cheque distribution ceremony took place, during which ten students from Nabajyoti College received cheques under the NijutMoina 2.0 scheme. In total, 1,010 female students benefited from the initiative.
