61st Teachers’ Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is enthusiastically celebrated in the Teachers Conference Hall of Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia. The programme is established with the Banti Prajalan and paying homage to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan at 11.00 AM by Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed, Principal, Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia followed by the Vice-Principal, Sushil Kumar Sarkar, Academic Observers Kamruzzaman and Azizur Rahman Dewan along with other faculty and students. After the felicitation of the dignitaries sitting on dice, the programme is taken forwarded by the inaugural speech given by Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed Principal, Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia where he encompassed the role of teachers by moulding references from ancient to contemporary teaching pattern.
Afterwards, a felicitation to all the teachers took place on behalf of Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed Principal, Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia. Thereafter, the appointed speakers for the programme delivered their valuable speeches where Prof. Kamruzzaman narrated about Life and Career of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan; Prof. Wahab Sarkar informed about the Philosophical Points of teaching and Radhakrishnan’s contribution in this regard and finally Dr. Nitu Saharia gave speech on Student-Teacher Relation. Meanwhile, the Students Union of the college also offer their gratitude to all the teachers by felicitating them with fulam-gamosa. After the concluding statements of the Vice-Principal, Sushil Kumar Sarkar, the programme came to an end with the vote of thanks forwarded by Prof. Nayan Mani Devi. The entire programme is tightly anchored and hosted by Dr. Fakhrul Alom.
