Kalgachia, 28 Feb: A two-day Faculty Development Programme was organised by the Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia for the Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff of the college. Day 1 of the programme began with the registration of all the participants who took part in the programme.
The principal of the college, Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed provided the welcome speech of the programme. Two resource persons were present on the day. The first speaker, M.U. Ahmed, Retd. Sr. Lecture- DIET, Assam delivered his valuable lecture on Effective communication in classroom Transaction & Management. The second speaker, Dr Chandana Devi, Lecturer, Bajali TT College, Patacharkuchi, presented a lecture on Micro-teaching.
Then, there werethe departmental group-wise presentations on Micro-teaching where one faculty member from each department of the college presented a short lecture on the topics of their preference. Day 1 concluded with an interactive session among the participants present and the two resource persons. The programme was hosted by Mostafizur Rahman, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Education and the vote of thanks was given by Kakali Hazarika, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Economics.
As a resource person, Satyen Das, Retd. Jt. Secy. (Education & Personnel Dept) was present on Day 2. The principal of the college, Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed was present in the programme as the chairperson of the programme, and he delivered his welcome address of the day. Dr. FakhrulAlom, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Pol. Science hosted the programme of the day. Mr. Satyen Das presented his lecture on The Assam Service Rule & Leave Rules. The Superintendent of Assam State Publication Board, Dilip Kumar Haloi was present in the programme as a guest. The programme ended with a valedictory session and the certificates were distributed to the participants. The vote of thanks was given by MalabikaBaglari, Asst., Prof., Department of English.
