The “Workshop on AI and IoT” was successfully organised by the Computer Education Centre (CEC), Kalgachia, in collaboration with the Research & Development Cell and the Institution’s Innovation Council of Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia. The event aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), focusing on their applications and potential in various fields.
Inauguration:
The workshop commenced with an inauguration ceremony, attended by distinguished guests, faculty members, and students. Dr Shahjahan Ali Ahmed, Principal of Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia, inaugurated the event and emphasised the importance of emerging technologies like AI and IoT in shaping the future.
Workshop Overview:
The workshop featured an in-depth session on the Internet of Things (IoT), led by representatives from CEC, Mr Kalpajyoti Kalita and Mr Mostafizur Rahman. They provided a thorough explanation of IoT, discussing its fundamental concepts, practical applications, and the impact it has on industries and everyday life.
IoT Demonstration:
A highlight of the workshop was the hands-on demonstration of IoT by MrKalpajyoti Kalita and MrMostafizur Rahman. They showcased how IoT devices can be interconnected to create smart environments. The demonstration included practical examples of IoT applications in smart homes, healthcare, and agriculture, illustrating the potential of IoT in transforming various sectors.
AI Session:
Following the IoT demonstration, the workshop also included sessions on Artificial Intelligence. Experts discussed the basics of AI, machine learning, and their real-world applications. The discussions emphasized how AI complements IoT, leading to more intelligent and automated systems.
Interactive Q&A:
The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts. The experts addressed various queries related to AI and IoT, further enriching the participants’ understanding.
Conclusion:
The workshop was highly informative and well-received by the participants. It provided a platform for students and faculty to explore the possibilities of AI and IoT, encouraging them to innovate and contribute to these rapidly evolving fields. The event successfully highlighted the importance of embracing technological advancements to stay competitive in the modern world.
